I’m reading through some brief composition lectures on the amazing John K’s Curriculum site (http://johnkcurriculum.blogspot.com/). It’s really helpful to have some plain, simple breakdowns of different compositional elements. I’m trying to draw up some quick studies as I go through these. I’ll be posting them here over the next week or so.
I’m not going to pretend like these are super amazing examples…just my attempts at working through and trying to show the different elements.

Paxton: I’m not sure they teach much about composition in any class here, at least not that I remember. About the extent of what I’ve learned is the ‘ol rule of thirds…
